CA EMT License Information

Here’s how you can get your CA State EMT license through the LA County EMS Agency.

  1. Complete an EMT-B Training Program.
  2. Take the NREMT computer-based exam: https://www.nremt.org
  3. Complete the 2011 LA County EMT Scope of Practice Supplement (Usually included in your EMT course if your course was held in LA county): https://www.cpc.mednet.ucla.edu/course/localscope2011
  4. Apply for a State license through the Los Angeles EMS Agency: http://dhs.lacounty.gov/wps/portal/dhs/ems/certification
